Choosing between a bounce house and a water slide is one of the most common questions we get from families planning parties in St. Louis. Both are amazing — but the right choice depends on a few factors.
When to Choose a Bounce House
Best for: cooler weather, younger kids (ages 3–8), smaller backyards, and year-round parties.
A bounce house is the classic choice. Kids of all ages love bouncing, and parents love how easy it is. Our Classic Block Party Bounce House is the best-value option at $175 for an all-day rental and fits in most Florissant backyards with just a 17' x 17' flat area.
Bounce houses work great for: - Spring and fall birthday parties - Church events and school field days - Indoor events (in large enough spaces) - Parties with toddlers and younger kids
When to Choose a Water Slide
Best for: summer parties, older kids (ages 5–14), and larger backyards.
Water slides are the ultimate summer party rental. Our Mega Splash 16' Water Slide stands 16 feet tall and includes a splash pool landing — kids absolutely love it. It requires a water hookup within 100 feet and a flat area of at least 30' x 14'.
Water slides are perfect for: - June through September events - Graduation parties and summer cookouts - Neighborhood block parties - Parties with older, more active kids
The Best of Both Worlds: Combo Units
Can't decide? A combo unit gives you a bounce area AND a slide in one inflatable. Our Tropical Thunder Combo ($225 one-day base price) and King Castle Combo ($275 one-day base price) can be used wet OR dry, so they work for different seasons.
Our Recommendation
- **Best value, any season:** Classic Block Party Bounce House ($175)
